Designer : Pernille Schwarz

Fields : Menswear, Womenswear

Biography :

Libertine-Libertine was established in the spring 2009 by the founders Rasmus bak, Peter Ovesen & Pernille Schwarz who all have various backgrounds on the fashion scene.
The brand was born through common passion and friendship and the urge to build up a prolific, dynamic & creative platform that could feature a lot different projects within their fields of interest ranging from music & sports to arts. Rasmus Bak explains “the whole idea was to approach the fashion scene with a different set of values and follow a quite alternative path & cyclus”.
Since the brand’s launch in Paris in 2009 the team behind has continued to develop their distribution and collections and are now sold in great selected stores in 12 countries.
Simultaneously, projects involving like-minded collaborators are to be launched and revealed in the years to come – all depicting a modern way of grasping life, a life based on consciousness and existentialism. First project to surface is the collaboration with electronica artist Pantherman whose debut album Ghosts + Colour TV will be released on wooden usb branches this fall.

Style :

Libertine-Libertine defines an assured and effortless style heavily influenced by their roots in street culture and love for the Danish maritime history.
The collections are based on strong and subtle detailing and a high level of quality, classic design values presented in a new context with lots of blood and soul behind.

Fall/Winter 11 Collection :

Strongly inspired by city lights, wild shores and the Danish maritime history Libertine-Libertine’s AW11 collection shows a versatile range of playful and energetic designs in high quality fabrics.

The subtle details and self developed art work are still the brand’s signature and a strong point of the collection. Using a rather unusual colour palette consisting of burnt orange, brown and numerous blues LL express a mood perfect for the transition between summer and autumn.
