Playful, feminine and enchanting, her collections are getting more magnetic to the international fashion audience with every season. Fall/Winter 2011 “Cameo” Collection:
The inspiration for the collection comes from films noirs and Hitchcock movies in particular. Much more than the heavy atmosphere of some scenes, it is the duplicity of the characters and some color settings, which have been a source of creation. The ”ice looking blonde girl”, who first seems to be the ideal woman and once she is awakened by passion or danger, responds in a more sensual, animal,or even criminal way. The innocent man with an average look, wrongly accused, unjustly prosecuted and forced to exonerate. It shows how we can be forced to behave as someone else or how we can be obliged to expose our truthful inner instincts.
This collection has been developed as a unique and simple reply (to this statment) and is designed for you to be multiple characters at once, what we are all!
The womens shapes are looking very simple from a long distance but are getting revealed by the details, the color match, the patterns and the combination of layers and fabrics.
These garments are conceived as candies for the eyes, which becomes even sweeter when we look at them twice. Simply A-lined and flared silhouette is taken from the 50`s shapes with oversized pockets and sharp turtle necks. High vents has now moved from coats and trousers to tight skirts and dresses, also skirts are made with high openings to show more skin. Again different party dresses are made with adjustable details to make it more wearable day and night depending of the mood. The colors and fade tones are becoming stronger and gets beautifully sublimated when they are associated to black and white.
The men´s part includes narrow shaped jackets and coats with colourful details like braided leather belts an distressed buttons. The trousers are made in a loose fitted shape where adjuseble drapes are added on the backside for a more elegant look. The collection also includes feminine attributes such as 50´s a-lined coats and pastel striped mohair sweaters which makes the line androgynous and fragile in a romantic way.
The birds pattern owe it`s inspiration from the Hichcock movie and appears for both men and women in strong electric colors. The tee prints are inspired by defaults where the unfinished stripes are an important trait of the collection.
The dominating colors in the collection are butter and black mixed with shades of ice, fox and petrol. The accent colors that highlight the collection are Electric blue and intense apple green.
